How Do I Allow/Block Mobile Apps through Alaia?


This article shows you how to find and allow/block mobile apps for your child’s device.

Summary: Open Alaia app on your (parent/admin) phone, select Family option in Dashboard > My Alaia > My Family > Configure below the specific profile that you wish to customize settings > select Mobile Apps.

This can be done through Alaia online Web portal as well. Please login to your account at through any browser/device > Family from the left panel > Configure.

Please note that for this feature to work on your Child's iOS device, you need to install the App Manager tool on your child's iPhone or iPad.


Open Alaia App on your phone > Select Family from the Dashboard main menu > select My Alaia > My Family.

Find your child profile under the Children tab and select 'Configure'. Then select ‘Mobile Apps’ from the panel at the bottom of your screen.

You can allow and block apps in the given list. Green means that the specific app is allowed.

Once you allow an app is gets moved to the bottom of the list where all allowed apps are listed.

You can search for any app and choose to allow or block it.

Allowed Apps Only: You can choose this mode if you wish to allow only a specific set of apps. Click on 'Advanced Settings' option to enable this option.

Once this option is chosen, all apps other than those allowed in the list will be blocked by Alaia.

Click on 'Done' and then on 'Save' at the top right corner of the next window to save the changes you just made for the profile.

You will see a small message that says 'Updated' at the bottom, once your changes are saved.

NOTE: This feature requires Managing your Child's iOS device using Alaia App Manager tool.
